About Laurence Thorn
Laurence Thorn is a Midlands-based photographer who specialises in portrait and event photography. He has practised photography for over 15 years. Graduating from the University of Derby with a 1st class degree in Photography, he has received various awards for his work over the years, including a prestigious Graduate Achievement Award from the 2021 Format International Photography Festival for his digital media project Actualise. He has also been extensively exhibited in the UK and across Europe for his work on the documentary series “European Cultures Connect” in Spain, Germany and Chezcia.
Laurence is a Co-Founder of the photography company TSL Photography, alongside photographer George Stocks and marketer Ben Lucas. However, he continues his own independant non - commercial practice mostly focussed around documentary and landscape photography.
